The final of the “immortal” orphans, Cebrielle is
chosen by Scopia partway through the 17th
century as her addition to the clan. He is the only
non-orphan, kidnapped from a family in the area who
neglects him. Scopia chooses him because, even
as a four year old, he is already a genius. Not
only that, but as he is the most recent addition
to the group, his understanding of language and
culture reflects, quite closely, the actual
reality outside of their cell.
